  1. Start Slow: You don’t have to go 100% plant-based overnight. Start by incorporating more plant-based meals into your diet and gradually reducing your intake of meat and dairy. I started by Eliminating my least favor first. Once I got used to that then I eliminated another item until I was completely WFPB. It can be intimating when you look at the finished goal. Like it was a mile away. But Rome was not built in a day. So, work on little goals until the big one is reached.
  2. Experiment with New Foods: There are so many delicious plant-based foods out there that you may have never tried before. Experiment with new recipes and ingredients to keep things interesting. There is a big rainbow world of grains, nuts, seeds, fruits, veggies, and legumes out there. More colors and options that a rainbow. Start slow and try new foods. Remember when you run into a new food that you do not know how to cook or prepare, there are great resources on YouTube or bookstores. There are endless options of flavors out there.

Try some of these alternatives to help satisfy any cravings you may have. I suggest you google or YouTube WBPB “Favorite meals” and find new recipes to add to your weekly meals.
  4. Plan Ahead: Meal planning is key when transitioning to a plant-based diet. Make sure you have plenty of plant-based ingredients on hand and plan out your meals in advance to avoid any last-minute trips to the grocery store. Cooking takes time but it is worth it.
